A Review: Google Drive Applications

 April 30, 2022

Google Drive offers Gmail users the ability to create documents, slides, forms, and spreadsheets for free. These applications easily rival those found in the Microsoft Suites applications commonly used in their functionality and usability. During module 3 the class was asked to create 4 separate items using each of the 4 applications mentioned above and then link them to a compare and contrast blog for others to review. I found that using these applications was very similar to using Microsoft applications and enjoyed them for what they are which is applications designed to create documents, slides, forms, and spreadsheets. The one feature that I wasn't super pleased with was that Google Drive does not allow users to right-click paste which is the main method I use. I don't hate using the shortcut method, but it did take some getting used to (and a lot of reminding by Google) for me to catch on. Overall, I believe that Google Drive is the future for a lot of people. No one wants to buy Microsoft applications at $80+ to write a document or make a presentation. Being able to access Google applications for free with a Gmail account makes them a no brainer for many!

Below are the links to the items I created using Google Drives applications! Click on the image to see each item!
