May 12th, 2022 By Kyle Harvey  Throughout this semester we have been given the opportunity to explore a myriad of applications that have enhanced our knowledge of business communication. Even though this course has moved by quickly we were able to explore blog building, Google Drive Applications, screen recorders, animations, video editors, and more. One of my favorite things about this course was the number of choices that we had to choose from when it came to reviewing and using applications. Also, being able to evaluate the best application allowed me to figure out which one would be the best one to take into my professional career.  At my organization we are constantly look for unique applications that have the potential to take our training participant engagement to new levels.  May 11th, 2022 By Kyle Harvey  Hello, Friends! During this lesson the class was the given the opportunity to explore the world of app making through Glide. This software allows an individual to create and publish mobile apps through Google Sheets. This is a great tool for anyone who is interested in app making but doesn't know how to code! I created an application that lists the greatest anime characters of all time, and my audience is of course fans of anime. This application was strictly information based as it would list the characters and then allow the user to click on them to read a short bio/description of the character. I opted to use the Google Sheets version of creating the app over using the template because I wanted to get the true feel of making the app from scratch. I definitely ran into a view issue with images not loading at first and text looking a little wonky, but overall, I'm happy with my finished product!  May 11th, 2022    Hello, Friends!  For this lesson we were tasked with creating two videos with two separate video editors. Once this task was complete the class was then asked to reflect on our experiences. I don't have a lot of experience working with video editors, but I found the programs I used to be relatively simple when it came to adding music and transition slides. I also used the editor to trim my video due to a long awkward pause that was originally at the very beginning. It's amazing to me how simple video editing has become, and I'm impressed with the free editors that exist for people to use. Even though the editors left a watermark for the free versions of the content, everything still showed up nicely and was just the way I wanted it to look. Due to this lesson I want to look into video editing software and build up my skills so that I can use some of the paid versions in my training classes. May 11th, 2022 By Kyle Harvey Hello, Friends!  This week we were asked to create two infographics using two different editors. After the creation of these infographics, we were then asked to compare the editors used. I chose to use Piktochart and Canva to create my infographics and I really enjoyed using them both! These editors are both simple and intuitive to use and allow the user to create almost any type of infographic that they desire. With that being said I did enjoy using Canva just a little bit more since it allowed a few more creative graphics and designs than Piktochart. Below are the screenshots that I collected from both Canva and Piktochart. Overall, I would recommend both of these editors for individuals wishing to create awesome infographics!  Piktochart Canva
